My chapter on Sonic Data Physicalisations describes my experiments with 3d printed tuning forks, and the mapping of different datasets onto the shape of bells and singing bowls. These experiments have led to the idea of Acoustic Sonifications that allow the listener to immediately hear information about an entire dataset by interacting with a purposefully designed sonic object.
